Restore the connection first
Check Wi-Fi or cellular access and make sure the desktop app is running. The phone app attempts to reconnect automatically. Refresh your watch after the phone reconnects.
Check your remote setup
Remote access needs a configured connection. Use the instructions for your test version instead of repeatedly unpairing devices or creating the same task.
Submitted does not mean send again
A connection can fail after a request reaches the server but before the response arrives. An unconfirmed result means the app needs to check what happened. It does not mean you should approve again.
Verify the task status
Restore the network, then refresh. Check whether the task has progressed and whether the approval is still pending. Keep the original request ID when retrying a supported operation. Read the Codex approval guide to understand pending and completed requests.
Check the computer too
An online phone cannot run local tasks if the computer is asleep or offline. Make sure the desktop app, Codex session, and project are available.
What to include in a support request
Describe the device, network type, displayed error, and whether refreshing after reconnection helped. Do not include passwords, verification codes, or device keys. Contact support ↗
